About The Photographer

Daniel is a Northern Virginia based event and photographer who specializes in shooting sports, concerts, parties, pets and portraits. He started shooting concerts over thirty years ago and learned his photojournalist style shooting for local newspapers The Sun Gazette, The Journal Newspapers and The Common Denominator in the Washington, D.C. area over the past decade. Daniel’s photos have appeared on at least four Wammie winning (Washington Area Music Association) albums in recent years including albums from Tom Principato, Jon Carroll, and The Patty Reese Band. He likes to take most of his performance and sports photos using available light. Daniel has been published locally and nationally in Parade Magazine, Vintage Guitar Magazine, Scholastic News Magazine and The Washingtonian Magazine, His photos have appeared in dozens of web sites in the last several years including WGBH Television in Boston, The Washington Redskins and Comcast Sports web sites. Daniel currently shoots high school sports for MaxPreps a company owned by CBS. Daniel is a member of The Society for Sport and Event Photographers and his work appears on the back cover of their Fall 2010 newsletter Action News.
